Typing Course

Click button in the main interface to enter the Typing Course interface.

There are four parts in Typing Course: Key Drill(Junior), Key Drill(Senior), Word Drill and Text Drill.

In Key Drill, users may choose Course to practice from basic keys to all keys on the keyboard so that users can get familiar with the keyboard gradually. And there are finger shapes not only to prompt where each letter is on the keyboard, but to indicate which finger to use to enter the current letter. In key drill, the key positions picture will prompt which key to press by displaying the key in green. If pressed correctly, the key return to its original color. If not, there will be an X on the incorrectly pressed key, which disappears by users' pressing the correct key.


Key Drill (Junior)

Junior Key Drill is for computer newbies who intend to learn typing. Users can get familiar with the key positions soon by Junior Key Drill. And there are finger shapes not only to prompt where each letter is on the keyboard, but to indicate which finger to use to enter the current letter.

  • Keyboard Picture: When starting drill, the keyboard picture will prompt to tell users which key to press by displaying the key in green. If pressed correctly, the key return to its original color. Or else, there will be an "X" on the incorrectly pressed key, which disappears by users’ pressing the correct key.
  • Status Bar: Display time, speed, progress and accuracy. (KPM stands for key per minute)

Courses

Button "Courses" is set according to people's learning rule following in proper sequence. The process is from basic keys to all keys. It is suggested that users drill step by step following the below menu.

Numberpad

Use the button on the top right corner of the interface to switch between "General Keyboard Drill" and "Numeric Keypad Drill".

Settings

  • No knock sound : It causes no sound when pressing the keys.
  • Normal: The sound will prompt the wrong operation so that you can know whether the operation is right through the sound.
  • Music: This function makes each key play the role of tone, that is, each key has its corresponding tone. And the sound will prompt the wrong operation.


Key Drill (Senior)

Senior Key Drill is for those who have a general idea about keyboard to help users get familiar with the keyboard. The interface consists of three parts: Typing Bar, Status Bar and Keyboard Picture.

  • Typing Bar which is on the top of the interface consists two parts: Title Bar and Input Bar. The characters needed to type show in the title bar under which the letters you have input show in the input bar.
  • Status Bar shows time, speed, progress and accuracy. (KPM stands for key per minute)
  • Keyboard Picture can prompt users the key positions displayed in green. If pressed correctly, it gets back to the original color. Otherwise, there will be an "X" on the incorrectly pressed key, which disappears by users' pressing the correct key.

Words Drill

The Words Drill interface consists of three parts: Typing Bar, Status Bar and Keyboard Picture.

Vocabularies generally consist of General Vocabulary, Professional Vocabulary and Daily Vocabulary. General Vocabulary embodies words of GMAT, TOEFL and GRE. Professional Vocabulary embodies words of computer, electron, chemistry, physics, etc. Familiar Vocabulary embodies 1000 words in daily life which are the most frequently used.

Text Drill

Text Drill is for users to improve their typing skills. In Text Drill, users may grasp the most frequently used words and the rhythm of sentences to accelerate their typing speed.

Courses

Course Select generally consists of General Paragraph and Professional Paragraph. Select General Paragraph, you will see 6 options such as Essay, Poem, Novel, Joke, Others, etc. in the below menu. Select one of them, all paragraphs of the selected kind will be listed in the list on the right. Select one paragraph and click OK to start the drill. Professional Paragraph offers 10 kinds of paragraphs such as medical, electron, chemistry, computer, etc. Each kind embodies five paragraphs.

Settings

  • Line Comparison: Refer to the above Paragraph Drill interface.
  • Text Comparison : The interface is divided into two parts: Title Bar and Input Bar. In drill, input contents in Input Bar according to the contents in Title Bar.
  • Coverage Comparison: The interface is not divided into areas. Take turns to input the contents. The input contents will turn into gray. The incorrectly input contents will turn into red.
  • No knock sound : There is no sound when pressing the keys.
  • Normal Effect: The sound will prompt the wrong operation so that you can know whether the operation is right through the sound.
  • Music Effect: This function makes each key play the role of tone, that is, each key has its corresponding tone. And the sound will prompt the wrong operation.
